AgedCareActionPlan.au is a guidance tool. It translates the aged care system into plain English and gives you the steps, scripts, and contacts you need to take action. It is not medical advice, legal advice, or financial advice. For decisions that affect your health, legal rights, or money, speak with a qualified professional.
AgedCareActionPlan.au is an independent aged care guidance service. It provides:
AgedCareActionPlan.au is not any of the following:
Nothing on this site constitutes medical advice, clinical assessment, or diagnosis. The site explains how the aged care assessment process works — it does not assess your health, make clinical recommendations, or replace the judgment of a registered health professional. For medical decisions, consult your GP, specialist, or other qualified health professional.
This site provides general information about your rights under the Aged Care Act 2024 and related legislation. It does not provide legal advice and does not create a solicitor-client relationship. For advice specific to your legal situation — power of attorney, enduring guardianship, estate planning, disputes — consult a qualified solicitor in your state or territory.
This site provides general information about aged care fees, co-contributions, and means testing. The financial information is based on current government-published rates and is intended to help you understand what to expect — not to replace personalised financial advice. Aged care financial decisions can be complex and have long-term consequences. Consult an accredited aged care financial specialist before making decisions about refundable accommodation deposits, pension structuring, asset arrangements, or home sale timing.
AgedCareActionPlan.au is a private, independent service. It has no affiliation with My Aged Care, the Department of Health and Aged Care, Services Australia, the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, or any other government body. For official government services, contact My Aged Care on 1800 200 422 or visit myagedcare.gov.au.
AgedCareActionPlan.au does not provide care, does not arrange care, and does not act as an advocate on your behalf. It tells you who to call, what to say, and what to do — it does not make those calls for you. For free, independent advocacy, contact OPAN (Older Persons Advocacy Network) on 1800 700 600.
The information on this site is based on the Aged Care Act 2024, the Aged Care Rules 2025, and the Support at Home program as in effect from 1 November 2025. We update it when legislation or government policy changes.
Aged care fees and financial thresholds are indexed on 20 March and 20 September each year. The figures on this site reflect the most recently published rates at the time of writing. Always verify current rates at myagedcare.gov.au or by calling My Aged Care on 1800 200 422.
State-specific information (assessment team names, local contacts, state advocacy services) is verified at the time of writing. If you find an error, email us at support@agedcareactionplan.au and we will correct it promptly.
While we take care to ensure accuracy, we do not warrant that all information is complete, current, or free from error. The aged care system changes frequently. Use this site as a starting point, not a substitute for current government information.
If you purchase an action plan or activation guide and it does not help your situation, reply to your delivery email within 30 days and we will refund the full purchase price. No form, no justification required.
The guarantee covers the plan itself — not outcomes that depend on the aged care system, My Aged Care, assessors, or providers. We can tell you what to do. We cannot control whether the system responds as it should.

Links to government sites (myagedcare.gov.au, agedcarequality.gov.au, legislation.gov.au) are provided for reference — always verify current information directly.
AgedCareActionPlan.au is entirely independent. We receive no commissions, referral fees, or payments from any aged care provider, government body, insurance company, or financial institution. We do not recommend specific providers. We do not have commercial relationships with any organisation mentioned on this site.
The tools and plans we provide are designed to help you navigate the system — not to benefit any commercial party.
